highly literary, with occasional grammar slips
cruising down the highways noti hereby apologise to the Licensed plate people whom i have laughed at
this is an entry about my first ever driving experience. even though at times you may think that i was fighting a war or fumbling through a mazy motion of the ocean, just remind yourself that i was indeed, doing that very act called driving.
i don't even know where to begin. let's just say
I AM PRETTY DARN GLAD TO BE ALIVE!!! this afternoon had got to be one of the most harrowing experience of my entire life can. i had thought the driving instructor would ask me to see how he drives and teach me how to step on the accelerator or clutch pedal or how to brake etc (yes, my naivety can be astonishing). but no. instead, my first contact with the steering wheel turned out to be my first attempt ON THE ROAD! so, tell me, are you surprised to see me alive?! I AM!
it was like daytona; this one, with blood if i crash as badly as i do playing it! let me just compose myself (and stop using bad punctuation i.e lots of exclamation marks) before continuing my story. basically, i have never touched the insides of a real car before nor observed anyone carefully enough to know what they were doing down under (with that, i mean their accelerator/clutch/brake pedal). so, when i was "given the opportunity", i was clueless.

along the way from punggol to buangkok to sengkang to hougang, then to ang mo kio and back to yio chu kang, i was a clueless girl gripping for her dear life in a car with a driving instructor who was funny enough to let me do something like that. i stalled and stalled and stalled, depressed the brake pedal so roughly my instructor had to hold on the sides of the car and generally, either drove too slowly or too quickly.
my first experience on the road was a little short of disastrous. but thinking back, i feel much braver and much more courageous having gone through something like that unscathed (maybe other drivers suffered more than i from my driving haha). i came out of the car a little oozy (i still feel nauseous now) but a little more impressed with myself. well, it's the first of many. until i get pass my parallel parking, i will continue to harp on this small achievement in a forbidden act called driving.
